Our History

The Outback Boer was born from the shared journey of two South African families who packed their lives into containers and set sail for Australia, driven by a dream of new beginnings and a deep respect for the land. Founded in the heart of our new home, our story began with a simple realization: that the "Grit" of the Australian outback and the "Gees" of the South African spirit are two sides of the same coin.
Our journey started as a bridge between two worlds. We wanted to create a space that reflects the resilience, no-nonsense work ethic, and legendary hospitality that both Saffas and Aussies are known for. From our first backyard braais in the bush to becoming a trusted online destination, we have grown by curating products that tell a story of migration, adaptation, and a dual love for the soil beneath our boots.
Our name is a tribute to the pioneering spirit of the Boer—the hardworking, resilient farmer—reimagined within the vast horizons of the Australian Outback. It is a nod to our roots and a handshake with our future.
